The color in Rotem Reshef’s paintings changes one from a viewer to a seer. From one who relates to an object or an image, the viewer in front of her works becomes a seer; Colors, shapes, sizes, and light appear in front of her[1].
Rotem Reshef is a graduate of Hamidrasha School of Art in Ramat Hasharon (1988). After her graduation, she received a scholarship award for a promising young artist by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation that led to her participation in a group exhibition at the Museum of Israeli Art in Ramat Gan.
In the early 2000s, while she was living in Europe (2001-2004), Reshef earned an international MA degree in Museology from the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam.
Working in Europe and then in the USA, enabled Reshef to enhance the exploratory qualities of her paintings. During her stay in New York City (2004-2007), she simultaneously raised her four children and advanced her career as an artist and a scholar. Since 2007 Reshef lives and works in Tel Aviv.
